     Fair Trade organic coffee, olive oil, chocolate bars (many different flavors), cashews, almonds and baking cocoa are available for purchase each Sunday after worship in the east entryway along with the Serrv catalog for those who wish to order gift items for the holidays. Lutheran World Relief Fair Trade Project is a partnership between Lutheran World Relief and Equal Exchange. Equal Exchange offers other items such as organic nuts, fruits, chocolates and more.      We have been selling Fair Trade food items such as coffee, tea, and chocolate for about four years now. We order the coffee from Equal Exchange and they partner with small scale farmer co-ops from countries like Nicaragua, Mexico, Uganda, Haiti and the Philippines. Lutheran World Relief has joined with Equal Exchange to help those small scale farmers develop and grow, so they can eventualy generate more income and move out of poverty. It’s a win, win proposition. The environment is preserved, the growers and producers receive a fair price to insure their future, and YOU drink some of the best coffee on the planet. Trinity has made a commitment to serve our global community and fair trade is just one way we can do that.
